Job Summary:
SCSS / Children, Youth & Family Services are seeking compassionate and dedicated Residential Care Workers to join our team. As a Residential Care Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing day-to-day care and support to young people. Your responsibilities will include ensuring their safety, promoting their well-being, and assisting them in achieving their personal goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct care and supervision to young people in a residential setting.
  • Develop and implement individualised care plans.
  • Assist with daily activities, including personal care, education, and recreational activities.
  • Promote a safe and positive living environment.
  • Build trusting relationships with young people, offering emotional support and guidance.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Follow organisational policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of young people.

What we’re looking for:
  • Previous experience working with young people in a residential or similar care setting (not essential)
  • A genuine passion for supporting and empowering young people.
  • Understanding of child development and trauma-informed care practices.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to use and access a smart phone for clocking in/out and shift notes.

Prior to commencement in this role, team members must hold or be eligible to hold: Blue Card for Working with Children, NDIS Worker Screening, Child Safety and Personal History Screening Check (LCS2), hold or be willing to enrol into a Cert 4 or higher recognised qualification and a valid unrestricted drivers licence.
