Job Summary:
As an IT Officer, you will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to our diverse user base. You will play a key role in troubleshooting and resolving IT issues, maintaining our IT infrastructure, and ensuring the smooth operation of our help desk services across multiple business units and departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Help Desk Support:
- Provide first-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, and in-person.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues promptly and efficiently.
- Escalate complex issues to higher-level support when necessary and ensure follow-through until resolution.
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment, including computers, printers, and network devices.
- Monitor and maintain system performance, ensuring uptime and availability.
- Perform regular updates to ensure systems are secure and up-to-date.
- Develop and provide training to end-users on IT best practices and the use of software and hardware.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for IT processes, FAQs, and troubleshooting guides.
- Work closely with various departments and business units to understand their IT needs and provide appropriate support.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to keep them informed of issue status and resolution timelines.
- Certificate IV or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Demonstrated experience in a help desk or IT support role.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Sharepoint, Active Directory & other cloud-based applications.
- Familiarity with network troubleshooting and basic networking concepts.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer-focused attitude with a commitment to providing high-quality support.
