What's On - Bundaberg

2018 RED CROSS BIG CAKE BAKE

Date: Saturday, 27 October 2018 

Time: 9:00am to 3:00pm

Where: Defence Veterans Drop-in Centre, 44 Pitt Street, (Cnr Pitt & May Streets), Bundaberg

Admission: Free

 The Red Cross Bundaberg Branch would like to invite you to the ‘Big Cake Bake’ at the Vietnam Veterans Drop-in Centre from 9.00am to 3.00pm.

 

Volunteers will be baking cakes, slices, biscuits etc to sell at the Big Cake Bake to raise money for Australian Red Cross.

 

The Big Cake Bake is all about doing something kind, generous and delicious while helping others.

 

No matter how you enjoy your cake (or biscuits, slice, quiche, pies) the money raised will help people overcome crisis in Australia and beyond.

THE CRAFT CROWD- A CRAFTY BUS TRIP WITH MINI POTTERY WORKSHOP

Date: Saturday, 27 October 2018

Time: 9:30am to 3:00pm

Where: 1 Barolin Street, corner of Quay Street

Admission: $50 pp – Includes bus travel, tour, studio visit, lunch and wine.

A crafty bus trip! With mini pottery workshop.

 

Take flight for a day and hop on the bus for a guided tour of Birds of a Feather, lunch with a glass of wine on the Gallery verandah, and learn some pottery basics at the Firehouse Potter’s work studio.

 

Depart Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery at 9.30 am, and return to Bundaberg at 3.00 pm. Book your seats now!

THE LIGHTHOUSE FESTIVAL 2018

Date: Saturday, 27 October 2018

Time: 11:00am

Where: Jack Norgate Oval, Zunker Street

Admission: $2 per person, under 5 years of age is free.

The Lighthouse Festival is a family-friendly event that aims to celebrate many of the great things about our region, provide lots of fun for all ages, and be a great day out for the whole family.

 

The Lighthouse Hotel Stage will feature several local acts and the visiting feature act this year is popular country-rock outfit 'Brewn'. Once again, the Youth Stage provides an opportunity to showcase the talents of our region's up and coming performers.

 

The ever-growing Gladstone Ports Corp Art & Photography Exhibition promises to excel yet again with works on display from many talented artists.

 

In the Kid's Zone, little ones can enjoy a variety of art and craft activities. Plus, there will be plenty of stalls to explore, lots of yummy food to enjoy, show rides, and helicopter rides. The evening will finish with a fireworks spectacular at 7pm.
