Clay Sculpture 

Date: Thursday, 4th October

Where: Fraser Coast Cultural Centre & Hervey Bay Regional Gallery, 166 Old Maryborough Rd, Pialba

Time:  10am

Entry: $11 members & $15 non-members

Experience new pottery techniques to create a sculptural masterpiece! You will be guided by a practising artist who will demonstrate the finer points of working with this medium. Materials provided.

 

Best suited for ages 5-14.

First Nations Indigenous Cultural Tours

Join your Gwamu guide Nullabill for a family friendly experience. Learn about our First Nations People’s history, culture and the uses for different tools and artefacts.

 

Discover how to find bush medicine in the most unlikely of places. Finish your journey with the unique sounds of the yidaki – you may even be inspired to shake a leg! Your experience includes a bush foods morning tea, where you will try a selection of true Aussie foods, such as kangaroo, emu, quandongs, lemon myrtle, wattle seed and other gourmet treats.

Wide Bay Gymnastics School Holiday Program

Where: Wide Bay Gymnastics Club, Walkers Road, Urangan

WetSide Water Park

Date: Friday, October 5th

Where: Wetside Water Park, Esplanade 

Time: WetSide is open 7 days from 10am to 5pm

Entry: Free

WetSide Water Park is located on the foreshore at the junction of Main Street and the Esplanade, Pialba, Hervey Bay and is a fun, eco-friendly public asset designed around water ‘infotainment’.

 

The park includes:

  • Water Slides

  • Water play arena

  • TotSide for under 5s play

  • FlipSide Board Rider

  • Fountain Light Show Saturday night 7pm

  • Coffee shop, fish and chip shop and restaurant on site

Entry into WetSide is free however there is a cost for the Water Slides ($5 for 10 slides) and FlipSide Board Rider ($6 per ride).

 

During Queensland school holidays WetSide is open 7 days from 10am to 5pm. WetSide may close for reasons including maintenance, extreme weather and maximum capacity crowds.
