Recruitment and Engagement Officer wanted for our expanding Recruitment team!

Due to continued growth, this exciting opportunity is available with Southern Cross Support Services (SCSS), based in our Caboolture office servicing South East QLD.

SCSS is a NDIS and Child Safety provider servicing Queensland with our head office based in Bundaberg. Our core business is to provide a range of disability and Child Protection services to meet the needs of those that are most vulnerable in our community.

The role of Recruitment and Engagement Officer plays a significant part in the way that SCSS reaches its goals and client requirements. The role is a full-time position that will be part of our Recruitment team.

What is SCSS looking for?

Ideally someone that has demonstrated experience with volume recruitment, preferably in the communities sector. Your values will align with SCSS and professional relationships will be paramount to you undertaking your role. You will be responsible for booking interviews for our front-line roles and will be conducting phone-screens. You will also be required to undertake reference checking and complete job offers. Once offers have been made, you will engage with the new employees to ensure their onboarding experience is positive! You will then guide new employees through their initial stages of employment with SCSS to ensure an engaged staff member. All tasks will be completed in adherence to policies and procedures.

To be successful in this role, you will have;
  • Previous experience in volume recruitment
  • Must be a people person
  • Excellent time-management skills
  • Solid understanding of Recruitment and Selection
  • High Attention to detail
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Customer Service driven
  • Ability to show initiative and be self-motivated
  • Enjoy working to tight deadlines
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and individually

  • Suitability Blue Card for Working with Children and Young People
  • Positive Notice Criminal History Check - Yellow Card or NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Child Safety and Criminal History Screening - LCS2
  • First Aid Certificate with CPR
  • Drivers Licence
