Our partner Children, Youth & Family Services (CYF) is a leading Child Safety provider throughout QLD. The Property Officer maintains all assigned properties and assets to a high standard in a safe, efficient and routine manner by adhering to legislative compliance and best practice for asset management.
Key responsibilities of this role:
- Source and coordinate the setup of new properties suitable for supported accommodation needs of clients in partnership with suppliers, contractors and stakeholders
- Ensure all documentation is completed and compliant with relevant legislative guidelines (RTA etc)
- Maintain schedules, coordinate and review regular service agreements with contractors for commercial & residential properties occupied by CYF clients
- Ensure all repairs and maintenance requests received are actioned by the relevant agent or repairer and authorise payments according to budgeted expenditure
- Ensure contractors meet relevant compliance requirements including contractor agreements, relevant licences and insurance
- Source, order and arrange purchase of new assets and repairs of existing assets
- Previous experience in a similar property management role (2 years desirable)
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to ensure deadlines are met and outcomes achieved
- Excellent multi-tasking, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Strong attention to detail, time management, organisational and administrative skills
- Intermediate computer skills, including the ability to use Microsoft Office, email and web-based applications.
