What you will be doing:
- Provide sound Fair Work-compliant human resources advice, coaching and assistance to people managers
- Administer, provide advice, and participate in (or conduct) workplace investigations, misconduct and underperformance processes with a view of minimising organisational risk
- Grievance and complaint handling
- Author and word process professional correspondence such as allegation and outcome letters, warning, and termination letters on behalf of people managers
- Interface with employment contracts, change of terms and conditions, pay changes etc
- Manage compliance to Fair Work processes e.g. casual conversion, flexible work arrangements etc
- Ensure compliance in accordance with policies, procedures and work instructions
- Accurate and detailed record-keeping in HRIS, spreadsheets and other systems
- Contribute to development and maintenance of policies, procedures, internal systems and processes
- Conduct meetings and deliver presentations, including training, as required
- Demonstrated experience in a similar HR focused role
- Relevant qualification such as Bachelor/Diploma in Human Resources (or similar)
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation e.g. Fair Work Act, Human Rights Act
- Strong knowledge of Awards particularly Social Community Home Care and Disability Award & Clerks Private Sector Award (advantageous)
- Experience in managing misconduct, underperformance matters and workplace investigations (in a similar industry would be advantageous)
- Experience using the Microsoft Office suite and above average general computer skills
- Ability to prepare external correspondence and draft reports on matters relating to employee relations and human resources
- Strong attention to detail and good time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships
- Strong analytical, influencing and decision‐making skills.
- Ability to work confidentially, with tact and discretion.
- Ability to remain impartial and unbiased with good emotional intelligence and resilience
