Experienced NDIS Support Staff wanted for a senior permanent part-time role!


We are seeking applications for an NDIS Team Leader Position available with Southern Cross Support Services (SCSS), based in Mackay!

The Team Leader position is responsible for ensuring the client is supported to reach their individual goals as identified within their Individual Support Plans (ISP). As a Team Leader, you will lead and coordinate the team of Support Workers in providing their duties and act as the Key Support Worker coordinating correspondence with external parties and the team.

  • Ensuring smooth operations of the program – social inclusion and community access, development of independent living skills, meeting personal goals
  • Build and Uphold a positive team culture and enthusiasm – have a can do attitude, think outside the box, stay client focused and positively engaged in their home, communication, lead team meetings, support, mentor and guide your team, induct new members using SCSS check list
  • Stakeholder involvement and Client Management – open, professional and positive communication, attendance in meetings off site with Case Manager, feedback and suggestions, close monitoring of behaviours, safety plan and updating client file details in CTARS ensuring audit compliance

Due to the nature of this position, applicants must be willing to undertake personal development to meet the requirements of the positions on offer.
  • Flexibility across a 7 day/night roster, which can include shift work, periodic weekend, public holidays, night shifts & overnight sleepovers.
  • Community Access support experience is highly regarded.
  • Flexibility to support across additional disability programs, is desirable.
  • Ability to ensure attention to detail and time management with client documentation and shift reports

  • Blue Card for Working with Children
  • Yellow Card or NDIS Worker Screening
  • Driver’s licence and own vehicle with comprehensive insurance
  • NDIS E-Learning modules
