An exciting new opportunity exists for an experienced Marketing and Communication Manager!

This exciting opportunity is available with Southern Cross Support Services (SCSS), preferrably based in Bundaberg.

SCSS is a NDIS and Child Safety provider servicing Queensland with our head office based in Bundaberg. Our core business is to provide a range of disability and Child Protection services to meet the needs of those that are most vulnerable in our community.

Due to our continued success & expansion, we are seeking an experienced Marketing and Communications Manager to develop and deliver strategic marketing campaigns that attract customers to the business. This is a fast-paced, full-time role that will require strong marketing knowledge, creativity and a focus on delivering results.

The ideal applicant for this position is a results-driven, highly organised individual with a tertiary qualification in marketing and experience in the community sector.

Key duties of the position will include:
  • Develop and deliver an annual Marketing Plan to align with the organisations 3 year Strategic Plan
  • Implementation of marketing initiatives, events and promotions
  • Brand & communications management
  • Preparation of editorials and collateral
  • Market research and analysis
  • End-to-end management of all marketing channels including nationwide marketing, website, search, email, social media & TV and radio advertising
  • Understand the market competition state by state and targeted sites
  • Building & maintaining key stakeholder, community & agency relationships to effectively market the business

Key Requirements:
  • Minimum 3+years’ experience in a similar role
  • In-depth understanding of marketing principals
  • Tertiary study in marketing or event management would be advantageous
  • Experience in Digital Marketing, Social Media channels, SEO and trends in technology and Graphic Design
  • Ability to write & display engaging content, including blogs
  • A creative eye and ability to take a design debrief
  • Capability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills and professionalism
  • A passion for learning and constant improvement
  • Reliable and consistent work ethic, results driven, self motivating and passionate
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Grant writing skills and experience will be advantageous.

  • Suitability Blue Card for Working with Children and Young People
  • Positive Notice Criminal History Check - Yellow Card
  • Child Safety and Criminal History Screening - LCS2
  • First Aid Certificate with CPR
