Permanent Part Time position available for an NDIS Team Leader to join Southern Cross Support Services (SCSS), based in Gladstone.

Our Team Leaders are responsible for the coordination of the Support Workers providing service to our clients. As a Team Leader, you will ensure the smooth running of the clients home.

  • Household chores and grocery shopping
  • Medication and medical appointments
  • Fishing and beach activities
  • Social inclusion and community access
  • Holidays and camping trips
  • Meeting personal goals - fitness and wellbeing
  • Development of independent living skills
  • Implementation of behaviour management strategies

Due to the nature of this position, applicants must be willing to undertake personal development to meet the requirements of the positions on offer.
  • Flexibility across a 7 day/night roster, which includes shift work, periodic weekend, public holidays, night shifts & overnight sleepovers.
  • Accommodation support experience is highly regarded.
  • Flexibility to support across additional disability programs, is desirable.
  • Understanding or ability to gain knowledge about Restrictive Practices.
  • Working with complex and challenging behaviours.

A requirement prior to commencement, is eligibility to apply for or currently hold the below: (these are to be maintained at your own expense).
  • Suitability Blue Card for Working with Children and Young People
  • Positive Notice Criminal History Check - Yellow Card
  • Child Safety and Personal History Screening Check
  • Valid and current First Aid and CPR certification
  • Must have a drivers licence
