We are currently seeking 2 experienced Quality Officers - 1 to specialize in Child Protection and 1 to specialize in NDIS!

Quality Officer - NDIS

SCSS is a NDIS and Child Protection provider servicing Queensland with our head office based in Bundaberg. Our core business is to provide a range of disability and child protection services to meet the needs of those that are most vulnerable in our community.

A new job opportunity in Bundaberg to coordinate the NDIS policies and procedures as well as overall monitoring of risks specific to the NDIS Quality and Safeguard Framework.

About the role
Reporting to the General Manager, the Quality Officer for NDIS's main functions will include, but are not limited to:
  • Supporting the business to identify, assess, manage, and monitor key risks specific to NDIS Quality and Safeguard Framework.
  • Assist in the development, review and maintenance of appropriate policies and procedures, including the development of appropriate frameworks to ensure that the requirements of the NDIS Quality and Safeguard Framework are met.
  • Educate teams on those policies and procedures.
  • Undertake monitoring (audit/review) and reporting on quality system processes with a proactive focus on compliance and risk mitigation.
  • Ensure reporting for any government agency audits or inspections are completed including any resulting actions.
  • Manage and report on incidents and non-conformances, assist with identifying corrective and preventive actions and coordinate associated action plans.
  • Provides advice and support to various teams regarding NDIS Quality and Safeguard Framework issues.
About you
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate the following skills & attributes:
  • Audit qualifications will provide a strong advantage.
  • A minimum of 2 years of previous experience in a similar quality or compliance role.
  • Understanding of both quality management and risk management principles.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework.
  • Previous experience in developing, implementing and monitoring quality management systems to meet regulatory requirements.
  • A drive to continually improve quality management systems based on industry best practice.
  • Demonstrated capabilities in risk and incident management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to compile data and prepare reports that can be readily understood by key stakeholders that are not familiar with technical aspects of quality management.
  • Ability to influence and motivate others.
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to work well under pressure with competing deadlines.
