Southern Cross Support Services (SCSS) have an opportunity available for an IT Support Trainee to join our team at Head Office in Bundaberg!

SCSS is a NDIS and Child Safety provider servicing Queensland with our head office based in Bundaberg. Our core business is to provide a range of disability and Child Protection services to meet the needs of those that are most vulnerable in our community.

SCSS has a Traineeship position available in our Bundaberg office for a suitable person interested in starting a career in IT Support. We are looking for a Junior with no previous Cert III or higher qualifications.

Skills you will learn as part of this traineeship include:
  • Assisting users seeking assistance with corporate systems and technologies via a service desk system (telephone and face to face support)
  • Troubleshooting issues and communicating with staff regarding IT issues
  • Record keeping
  • Delivering remote and on site support
  • Maintaining hardware
  • Assist our IT Officers with various tasks
  • Security protection and backup processes

  • Ability to use all Microsoft Suite programs
  • Good attention for detail
  • Good sense of humour
  • Strong communication skills
  • Must be adaptable to change, flexible with work requirements and professional
A requirement prior to commencement, is eligibility to apply for or currently hold the below: (these are to be maintained at your own expense).
  • Suitability Blue Card for Working with Children and Young People
  • Eligibility to complete a traineeship (Cert III in Information Technology)
  • Drivers licence preferred
