This exciting opportunity is available with Southern Cross Support Services (SCSS), based at Head Office in Bundaberg!

SCSS is a NDIS and Child Safety provider servicing Queensland with our head office based in Bundaberg. Our core business is to provide a range of disability and Child Protection services to meet the needs of those that are most vulnerable in our community.

The role of IT Officer will ensure the smooth running of all IT equipment in our offices and residential houses.

You will provide support by:
  • Acting as a first point of contact for users seeking assistance with corporate systems and technologies via a service desk system, telephone, collaboration tools or face to face.
  • Troubleshoot and communicate issues, time-frames and resolutions with relevant staff
  • Record keep all requests of IT Support
  • Deliver remote and on site support for sites across QLD
You will also:
  • Maintain hardware
  • Capture, update and share knowledge through documentation and work instructions
  • Advise staff on the use of SCSS resources when required
  • Assist in sourcing hardware and software needs of the organisation
  • Ensure security protection and data backups are completed as required

  • Ability to prioritise and work under pressure.
  • Experience in administering and/or supporting Microsoft 365, SharePoint or Uni-Fi (Desirable)
  • Technical knowledge of applications and systems with the Microsoft Suites of programs
  • Good attention for detail
  • Good sense of humour
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be adaptable to change, flexible with work requirements and professional
  • Good time management skills and ability to meet deadlines

  • Suitability Blue Card for Working with Children and Young People
  • Minimum Cert IV or relevant experience in IT related field
  • Drivers licence required
