This exciting opportunity is available for Southern Cross Support Services (SCSS), based in Bundaberg.

SCSS is a NDIS and Child Protection provider servicing Queensland with our head office based in Bundaberg. Our core business is to provide a range of disability and child protection services to meet the needs of those that are most vulnerable in our community.

The role of IT Manager plays a significant part in the way that SCSS reaches its goals and client requirements. The role is a full-time position that will be part of our Senior Management Team.

What will you be doing?

  • Managing your team to keep them motivated and engaged, dealing directly with end-users and business stakeholders to support new Infrastructure, system technologies and services
  • Integrate new business applications into the technology environment with a focus towards continuous improvement and assist with implementation activities
  • Defining and supporting the organisation’s growth strategies from a technology perspective, ensuring that cloud systems and infrastructure are scalable and sustainable for the growth plans
  • Compliance and security activities (Cyber security requirements or frameworks e.g. PCI, ISO 27001) that comply with Australian Privacy Principles and the SPAM Act within the organisation
  • Ensure documentation and procedures are always up to date
  • Research and remain up to date with industry trends that can benefit the organisation
  • Resolution of all SCSS IT Maintenance/Support Requests
  • Taking ownership of day to day technology issues and working with external vendors

What are we looking for?
  • Experienced IT Manager with 3 years + experience working within in a similar role and managing a team of IT professionals
  • Experience managing the IT functions for an organisation with over 800 staff
  • IT Risk Management experience
  • Fluent with the operations of Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint and PowerBI
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Proven experience implementing new software programs as well as the ability to support business applications with high levels of customer service and internal stakeholder engagement for system related activities
  • Excellent time management skills
