This exciting opportunity is available with Southern Cross Support Services (SCSS), based in Brisbane also servicing Gold Coast.

SCSS is a NDIS and Child Safety provider servicing Queensland with our head office based in Bundaberg. Our core business is to provide a range of disability and Child Protection services to meet the needs of those that are most vulnerable in our community.

The role of Facilities & Assets Officer is administrative based field role involving all associated responsibilities within the Facilities & Assets department including portfolio property management and fleet operations to ensure the standard of our supported accommodation arrangements are maintained.

WHAT IS SCSS LOOKING FOR?

Someone that has experience in Property Management and exposure to, or understanding of disability/youth services.
Primary duties will include, but not limited to property and asset procurement, tenancy management, resolving maintenance jobs, conducting property inspections, developing stakeholder relationships.
Other aspects of the role that are required by the successful person would include:

  • Strong time management and attention to detail
  • Outcome focused without reducing the quality or compliance of the task
  • Exceptional communication and planning skills, with the ability to problem solve
  • Be determined to make things happen, and the ability to think outside of the box
  • Enjoy challenging environments and can meet tight deadlines
  • Current Driver’s Licence

To be a success in this role, you will have:

  • Understanding of Tenancy legislation and regulatory compliance
  • The ability to handle difficult situations and always maintain professionalism
  • Proven ability to establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
  • The ability to be flexible and adaptable
  • Be a team player and have the ability to work independently
  • Solid administrative skills
